Reworking the classics and taking them back to where they belong — the water.

Dark Seas has always held a place in the surf and waterman world, and for years, I modeled their women’s line. When they shifted away from women’s apparel, I reached out with an idea: let me rework the men’s boardshorts into something new. They trusted me with a stack of pieces, which I cut, sewed, and tailored by hand — then brought to the Mentawai Islands to test, surf, and document in their natural element.

This project became a blend of crafting, surfing, and storytelling — honoring the rawness of the brand while giving it a fresh perspective.
